November 8 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free

Middle School/High School/College Students Only – This class will have a “Stories of Little Falls” focus. In addition to teaching the basics of writing for film, Matt will send the students out and about Little Falls to set their short films up.

Matt Powers spends much of his time directing Shakespeare, organizing community events in Little Falls, NY, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. During the school year, he teaches writing, literature, Shakespeare, film, and Interpersonal Communication at Herkimer County Community College. At Herkimer, he oversaw the General’s Theater Group and directed several productions. He is the co-founder and Creative Director of LiFT Theater. With LiFT Matt has produced and directed Strike Story and the Mac Blac series of short plays written by Angela Harris, many of Shakespeare’s comedies, and has written and produced his own short plays. Matt has had the great fortune to have directed and produced The Brass Lantern podcast, which he obtained two CNY Arts grants for. Matt spends as much time at home as possible with his wife Laura and their twin boys, Logan and Declan.

Box lunches from Bonitas will be provided by My Little Falls
