This is a two-day workshop from 9-5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Join Alex and Ander from Floating Home Films as they inform the audience and teach students the power of telling a good story and how this media is used today in traditional filmmaking, social media, and marketing. Their experience with Floating Home Films shows examples of their work that backs up their claims.
This seminar aims to provide a well-rounded introduction to documentary filmmaking. They will discuss what makes a good story, different ways to approach storytelling, and cover the basic steps of pre-production, production, and post-production. They will utilize discussions, watch example footage, and bring those skills into practice by lighting and filming an interview.
They partner with marketing agencies, nonprofit marketing, advancement teams, and small businesses to create authentic content that connects with audiences. They dig for genuine messaging in every project. Since not all projects are the same, they offer three levels of services. All three levels result in tons of content that can be used across multiple channels, remixed, and repurposed over time.
This is a two-day workshop from 9-4 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch will be provided on both days. Expect an off-site location to be involved in the filming of the project.
